Before we left for Nashville this morning, we got a call from one of the guys at the lab to give us an update on out little embryos. We were expecting to hear how many of the embryos survived the big thaw, but all the guy said on the message was that we WILL have our transfer at 11:00. That was a huge relief because that meant that at least 1 of the 2 embryos survived. So, we got in the car and made our trip back down to Nashville. After getting checked in and signing the papers, I took my Valium and then layed in bed and waited for my turn to get wheeled back into the operating room. After about 20 minutes, the embryologist came in to give us the news on the embryos, and we were ecstatic to hear that BOTH of the embryos survived. When they were frozen, they were both a Grade B, but after they thawed them this morning, one of them got upgraded to a Grade A. WOO HOO!!! So we had one Grade A and one Grade B that were both getting transferred. This was even better news than we could have hoped for! :) Now we move into the 10 day wait. July 9th is the big day we find out the result. The day can't come soon enough! Of course, we had to take pictures today.
The Report Card
Grade A on the left, Grade B on the right
Posing with our embryos...it looks like the Valium is starting to kick in here! :)
Sending out texts with the good news!
